Luis is a highly talented healthcare professional born in Caracas, Venezuela. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he has dedicated himself to the field of medicine since 1996 when he first became an EMT-Paramedic with experience in the field and at Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida. In 2003, Luis graduated from Broward College with his Associate of Science in Nursing and decided to pursue his passion for the Emergency Department. Throughout his career as a traveling RN, Luis has honed his medical expertise by obtaining extensive experience caring for patients in Critical Care, Stepdown, Post-Anesthesia care, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units. He is committed to providing excellent patient care and positively impacting each person's life he interacts with.
Luis is an exemplary nurse and healthcare professional who has worked diligently to achieve the highest level of excellence throughout his career. After moving to Central Florida in 2013, Luis pursued his Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with honors in 2015. As an expression of recognition for Luis's dedication and hard work, he was awarded the prestigious Nightingale Pride Award at the College of Central Florida. Additionally, he was also named Community Health Systems Employee of the Year in 2015, cementing his status as a leader in the nursing field.
Luis is an ambitious Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree in Nursing from 2018, acquired with high honors. He is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Certified Emergency Nurse, giving him the freedom to practice autonomously with a DEA licensure in the State of Florida. His professional passion lies within primary care, men's health, the regenerative medicine field, anti-aging practices, and alternative medicine. Beyond work commitments, Luis enjoys spending time with his family and loves traveling and sports.
